Jula Lynn Kniesel, born 1994, is a visual artist from Hamburg, Germany. She works in a shared studio in the Dosenfabrik, a community of artists with 28 studios in central Hamburg.
In the idiom of Minimalism, her work moves along the border between construction and process: canvas becomes colour-intensive, relief-structured compositions; paper, treated, reconstructed installations; branches and raw materials, bound, interlaced, partly impermanent objects. These works ask what languages form where self-assertion is structurally denied — in the female body and its imprints, in what endures after loss, in the interplay with nature. As mediators, the artworks negotiate ruptures, shifting states, undertones, and invisible burdens in tangible matter.
